A fully affordable scheme for Keresley
At Bennett's Road in Keresley, on the northern edge of Coventry, Midland Heart chose BREE Construction, through its New Homes subsidiary Partner Construction, to deliver 56 new affordable homes. The 9.6 million pound scheme brought new life to the site of a former social and sports club, replacing a redundant brownfield parcel with homes for local people.
Planning consent was secured for a 100 per cent affordable development, a point that drew attention through the approval process as Coventry weighed the future of the former sports site. The homes sit within the wider Keresley Sustainable Urban Extension, a long-term land assembly that is reshaping this part of the city with new housing, infrastructure and green space.

Homes and tenure
The development provides a mix of one to four-bedroom homes among the 56 properties, with 45 for affordable rent and 11 for shared ownership, marketed and let by Midland Heart as the registered provider. The scheme offers family-sized accommodation designed for affordable rent and ownership routes, supporting a tenure offer aimed squarely at people who want to live and work in the area.
Delivering a fully affordable site of this scale on former community land called for careful coordination between Partner Construction, Midland Heart and the local planning authority. The result is a completed neighbourhood that contributes to Coventry's affordable housing supply while knitting into the larger Keresley growth area.
Part of a growing urban extension
The Bennett's Road parcel forms part of the Keresley Sustainable Urban Extension, a major land assembly between Bennetts Road and Fivefield Road that is bringing a substantial number of new homes, alongside supporting infrastructure and open space, to the northern fringe of Coventry. BREE's contribution sits within that broader growth framework, with the wider Keresley land brought forward through Richborough Estates and partners.
Delivering 56 fully affordable homes within a larger market-led extension required Partner Construction to coordinate closely with Midland Heart and Coventry City Council so that the affordable element completed cleanly within the evolving site. For Midland Heart, one of the largest housing associations in the Midlands, the completed scheme strengthens its affordable offer in a city where demand for both rented and shared-ownership homes continues to grow.
