New homes for Ferryhill
At Dean Road, Ferryhill, BREE Construction, then trading as Partner Construction, secured a scheme to build high-quality homes for Livin Housing. The development brings forward 60 homes in County Durham on land to the south of the town, adjacent to the A167. The scheme was announced as a programme of new build rental homes for the town, with the contractor instructed to deliver high-quality housing on a site that had secured outline planning consent.
Livin announced the new build rental homes as part of its continuing investment in the area, with the scheme forming part of the broader regeneration of the Dean Bank and Dean Road neighbourhood. The development sits within a part of Ferryhill that has seen sustained renewal, contributing modern, well-built homes to the local stock.
Delivery for a regeneration area
The scheme followed an outline planning application for land south of Dean Road, with Durham County Council as the local authority. Construction records name Livin Housing as client and the contractor as principal contractor, with delivery programmed from 2020.
The development supports Livin's wider work across Ferryhill and Chilton, providing rental homes in a location close to existing services and transport links. As part of the continuing regeneration of Dean Bank, the scheme strengthens the supply of quality affordable housing in a community that has long been a focus of investment.
